Managing Your Body Image after Having a Baby

Congratulations on your new baby! Managing body image can be a difficult process after having a baby. Here are some helpful tips you can try to help you through this time:

  • Focus on the positives. Remind yourself of the amazing things your body has done by growing and birthing a baby. Celebrate your body for what it has done and what it can do.

  • Don’t compare yourself to others. Social media can be a tricky place when it comes to body image. Avoid comparing yourself to other people or to how you were before having a baby. Everyone’s journey is different.

  • Take care of yourself. Make sure you’re taking care of your physical, mental, and emotional health. Get adequate rest, eat well, and practice self-care.

  • Seek support. Talk to people you trust, such as family and friends, about how you’re feeling. If you need more support, consider reaching out to a therapist or other mental health professional.

Good luck!
